👑About Yongle Palace Banquet

Located on the traditional central axis of Beijing, Yongle Shengshi Gongyan (Yongle Palace Grand Imperial Banquet) is an immersive national-style feast that combines historical reenactment, imperial cuisine, and live-action experiences.

All delicacies served at the imperial banquets were the daily food of emperors, including shrimps, abalones, sea cucumbers, Peking duck and hot pot, as well as a wide variety of fruits and desserts. While dining, you can also enjoy performances of Peking Opera, kung fu, war drum music, horsehead fiddle and classic guzheng. You can wear the emperor and empress costumes for free.

📜The Origin

The show takes its name from Emperor Yongle, the powerful Ming emperor who founded the Forbidden City. It recreates the grand royal banquets once held for emperors, nobles and dignitaries hundreds of years ago.

Set against the backdrop of the glorious Yongle era, the banquet recreates the triumphant celebration of victory over the Mongol Yuan, national unification, and universal peace. The stage design is majestic with exquisite light-and-shadow effects, elegant imperial costumes, and meticulously detailed sets.
